2020 Billy Goat Society Hunt Winner Spotlight

Matt Martin was the lucky winner of the Billy Goat Society Drawing and is excited to be going Mountain Goat hunting in British Columbia with Dustin Roe Backcountry BC and Beyond this August. Matt, originally from Idaho, lives in Great Falls, Montana. He has a passion for the outdoors and especially archery, waterfowl and upland game hunting. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 daughters in the outdoors and teaching them about hunting and fishing.

Matt is a member of many conservation groups: a life member of the Rocky Mountain Goat Alliance and Montana Wild Sheep Foundation, a Summit Life member of the Wild Sheep Foundation, and a Chadwick Ram Society member with his wife, Traci. He is also a member of Backcountry Hunters and Anglers, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and the Mule Deer Foundation, as well as some other local state chapters of the Wild Sheep Foundation.

Matt and Traci were present at the ”<1Club” reception in Reno this past January when we drew his name.  They have made Reno an annual trip the last 4 years and Traci can often be heard cheering for winners of the drawings.  We invite you to join us in Reno in 2021 and if you have not harvested a Rocky Mountain Goat, then please join the Billy Goat Society and it could be your turn to pursue a Billy!
