(Completed) Goat Count in Humboldt Range, NV
Join the Nevada Department of Wildlife for a goat count in the Humboldt Range, Nevada!

NDOW is looking for some volunteers for Nevada's mountain goat kid recruitment survey!
A very small group of NDOW staff found 61 goats and saw incredible kid production while conducting some bighorn sheep captures earlier this summer, so they are very excited and optimistic about population numbers . The volunteers will locate those collared nannies again in August to see if those kids are still alive and well to determine recruitment rates.
The survey will occur the week of August 11th for a couple of days. Be prepared for a multi-day backcountry hike, over intermediate to difficult terrain, but it will be B-E-A-Utiful!
